Sonia M. Tanksley is a lawyer with emphasis in real estate and corporate law and expertise in all aspects of civil law, including dispute resolution, zoning, motion picture and literary law, and trademark law. She joined the firm of Grant & Longworth LLP in 2007 following a career that includes staff attorney at Madison Square Garden; deputy corporation counsel at the Village of Ossining, New York; Court attorney for a judge in Civil Court of The City of New York; staff attorney at the Legal Aid Society of New York City (civil and matrimonial); and years of private practice.

Sonia M. Tanksley earned her B. A. at Fordham University in Bronx, New York, in 1988; and her law degre at Fordham University Law School in New York City in 1992.

Ms. Tanksley is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the Ossining Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
