Grant & Longworth co-founder Steven P. Grant is an experienced trial attorney who has dedicated his career to representing those injured due to the careless acts of others. A tireless advocate for his clients, Judge Grant has helped to connect hundreds of people with millions of dollars in compensation that they deserve.
Judge Grant began his legal career representing insurance companies. While this experience in working on the defense side would prove to be valuable later on, he soon transitioned to plaintiff’s work.
Judge Grant established a busy private personal injury law practice in Bronx County, where heĀ focused on representing seriously injured clients who were victims of car accidents, construction and work-related accidents, and falls.
In 2007, Judge Grant joined with George N. Longworth to establish the Westchester County personal injury law firm of Grant & Longworth, LLP.
Steven P. Grant graduated with honors from New York University, where he received his bachelor of arts degree in 1980. He earned his law degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City in 1983. Judge Grant was admitted to the New York State Bar, United States District Court in the Eastern District of New York, and theĀ United States District Court in the Southern District later that same year. He received the honor of being admitted to the Supreme Court of the United States in 1992.
Judge Grant was elected Village Justice of the Village of Dobbs Ferry, New York in March 2003. He served in this position through December 2017.
